This service is intended for customers who already have defined product requirements and need professional design and low-volume manufacturing services. Tasks that require the integration of knowledge from multiple disciplines are welcome, especially those related to radio electronics.
Together with my collaborators, I am able to meet various non-standard requirements, such as an optimized user interface for efficient human–machine interaction, operation in harsh climatic and electromagnetic environments, very low electromagnetic noise, or independent power supply, to name just a few. My professional focus is oriented toward military and industrial electronics, rather than consumer electronics. I can design a complete device, instrument, or system, or only a specific part of it. I manufacture only products based on my own designs. I do not offer contract manufacturing based on design documentation provided by the customer.
This service is intended for customers who have only a basic idea and need support with concept development and feasibility studies. The application areas of this service are limited mainly to those in which I have worked extensively in the past:
If you are not sure whether I can help you, the easiest way is to talk to me about your problem.
The work is carried out either by me or by a small team of my regular and occasional collaborators. We are not a formal company, but rather an adaptive, project-based team of independent designers. For each project, the team member selected by the customer acts as the project lead and as the party accountable for delivering the result.
The path from the initial idea to the final product follows a typical industrial workflow and can cover a significant part of the product life cycle:
It is good practice to start each job with a written assignment agreed upon by both parties. If the customer has not prepared an initial version of product specification as a starting point for further refinement, I can assist in creating it together. Based on my experience, it is always beneficial for both parties to write down at least basic requirements in order to avoid possible misunderstandings. Ultimately, the requirements usually have the greatest influence on the final result.
The manufacturing of parts and subassemblies is carried out mainly by proven contractors, equipped with the necessary machinery and expertise for tasks such as PCB manufacturing and assembly, machining, metal forming, welding, and painting. The final assembly and testing are performed by me.
